1. What AlaTori is
AlaTori is a news aggregator that collects and displays articles from Suriname's leading news outlets. We do not produce news content. All articles are sourced from third-party publishers and link back to their original sources. AlaTori is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any of the news sources we aggregate.
2. User accounts
- You may create an account using email and password, or through social login (Google, Facebook, or Apple).
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You may only create one account per person.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data, including bookmarks and linked social accounts.
3. Social login providers
AlaTori offers login through third-party social login providers. When you use social login, your use of that provider's service is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We only receive the data necessary for authentication (email, name, and a provider-specific identifier) as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can unlink any social provider or request deletion of data collected through social login at any time via the Settings page or by contacting us.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from AlaTori.
- Circumvent rate limits or abuse the API.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
- Redistribute or republish content accessed through AlaTori without permission from the original publisher.
- Use AlaTori for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
5. Intellectual property
The AlaTori name, logo, and website design are our property. Article content, headlines, and images belong to their respective publishers. AlaTori does not claim ownership of any third-party content displayed on the platform.
6. Third-party content
AlaTori aggregates articles from third-party news sources. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, or reliability of any third-party content. Articles link to their original source, and we encourage you to visit the publisher's website for the full article.
7. Copyright concerns
If you are a content owner and believe that AlaTori is displaying your content in a way that infringes your copyright, please contact us at [email protected] with the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work.
- The URL on AlaTori where the allegedly infringing content appears.
- Your contact information.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized.
We will review and respond to all valid notices promptly.
8. Disclaimers
AlaTori is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content displayed will be accurate or up to date.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlaTori shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data or reliance on any content displayed on the platform.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Suriname. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Paramaribo, Suriname.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the website. Your continued use of AlaTori after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
